Engine components
Datsun 240Z engine components were scanned individually, meshed, post mesh edited, imported as .stl and iges into Creo 8. Geometry is the imported tessellated geometry. No vector geometry in the Creo file with the exception of planes and cylinder surfaces used for placement constraints for Creo Assembly. Image shown was an export from a Creo assembly and imported into Keyshot for rendering.
Digitizing a 66 Mustang
Scanning a part is skillset learned after a number of scans and perfected using parts with different materials, textures and colors. Scanning a car requires a whole new discipline and strategy.
Something Different
1/16 RC tank has been reverse engineered using a pair of calipers for measurement, photo import and tracing when needed. Zero scanning. Fully modeled in Creo.
